After a few games out with a knee injury, Logan returned to the team today with a 'Player Of The Week' performance, with some excellent play down the Fawley right. Logan was involved in a number of good passing exchanges, and aggressive runs, and our opponents were struggling to keep him quiet.

Fawley took the lead after just 75 seconds when a ball from Logan set Kyran free who finished the chance well, but the lead didn't last long and the visitors were level after just 3 minutes. However Logan again supplied another opportunity for Kyran, who again took the chance, chipping the keeper, to restore our lead on 5 mins. Harrison then let fly from well outside the box with a cracking shot which gave the keeper no chance, and increased our lead to 3-1 with 19 minutes gone. After 28 minutes Testlands were back in the game with a rather fortunate goal which just alluded Marcus in the Fawley goal. Testlands were trying hard to get back into the game again, and Marcus was called upon to make a couple of good saves, but our 2 goal advantage was restored after 34 minutes when a cracking ball from Alfie set Logan free to score a very well deserved goal, giving us a 4-2 half time lead.

The second half only saw 1 goal scored, this came after 41 minutes when Kyran followed up a great effort from James which had been well saved by the keeper. Fawley pretty much dominated the second half and Oli, who had taken over goal keeper duties had very little to do. Fawley created a host of other chances in the 2nd half but the Testlands keeper was having a blinder and made a number of saves to keep his side in the game.

Overall Fawley played well today, if at times a little narrow. The defence had to deal with a couple of very quick, tricky players and they did this very well. Our full backs pushed on well, adding another attacking dimension to the team. The midfield worked tirelessly against some good players, and against possibly the tallest player they are going to face this season. And up front our attackers chased everything, never giving our opponents defence a chance to rest.
